What did we do when the year 8's went to camp on Wednesday

On Wednesday the year 8's went to camp and left us here because we where year 7's. when they left the hours went by and we had to choose the two leaders one was a boy and one was a girl. When we choose we had to come up with a chant and a name for our group. We called it FOBALICIOUS. There where 3 group's all in total the names were Munchies and Churries As the day went by on Thursday we ended up moving around to do Rotation Station. Rotation Station is Rotation's but we do 3 different types of stuff like: Team Building with Mrs Judd, Art with Mr Slade, Truffles with Mrs Ilaoa or Whare Kelly.

ANZAC Day

On friday morning we had a assembly about anzac. On anzac day we were celebrating the Soldiers that fighted against the germans that had the wars. when the Soldiers and germans died were they had the war some poppies started growing. They were a bright red, a dark black,a light yellow and a fancy green. Those were the colors that were a part of the Poppies. Poppies are important to us because they remember the people who died for NZ to keep us safe.

So after that when the war had ended people came home and other people were asking where their husbands were they never replied. They carried the Soldiers down from the big boat they came back on. Everyone was staring at the people on the boat. Everyone did not look happy they looked sad. They knew that something had happened to their husbands. The Soldiers buried them because they had died.

When they were in the war they saw a black dog. They trained it. They walked past houses that had been blown by big guns. They walked past died horses.

Mālama Honua comes to Pt Englad

Displaying 20150325_093606.jpgHI welcome to the Mālama Honua waka that came to Pt England School. On Tuesday the 24th of March two different waka named Hokule’a and Hikianalia came to Pt England. We did get to see them and we will see them again maybe. If they let us. At the end we had to sing - He Hone - Na Waka - Eho. And we had to go down where the sand was and high five their hands.

Displaying 20150325_101041.jpgWhen we went back up I high fived all the teachers. I said thank you to them because they traveled all the way to Point England beach from Hawaii to see us and other schools. Like - Saint Patricks - Tamaki College - Glenbrae and other schools. It was fun because one day I would like to go on a boat and do what they are doing!
