problem solving

We are learning to solve maths problems. There are 18 chiLdren on the jungle gym and 7 fall off. How many chiLdren are still on the jungle gym?

    What a great maths problem!

    To solve it I would start with 18 and take away 7 because the children fell off, which would leave you with 11 children left on the jungle gym.

    18 - 7 = 11
